Kaya (coconut jam)

Kaya (coconut jam) is a creamy and rich coconut spread made from santan and eggs, flavored with pandan leaf and sweetened with sugar. It's very popular in Malaysia and Singapore. It's often spread on toast to make kaya toast and eaten in the morning, but is also enjoyed throughout the day. Kaya is also used as a topping for several desserts.
