Xiaolongbao is a popular dish among Chinese communities in Malaysia and Singapore, originally from the Jiangnan region of China, and traditionally is filled with pork.

Xiaolongbaois is considered a kind of "soup dumpling", created by wrapping solid meat aspic inside the skin alongside the meat filling. Heat from steaming then melts the gelatin-gelled aspic into soup.

It's prepared and served in a small bamboo steaming basket.
